Real property taxes were due Tuesday

LIHUE The first installment of real property taxes for the 2019-2020 tax year was due Tuesday.

LIHUE — The first installment of real property taxes for the 2019-2020 tax year was due Tuesday.

Property tax bills were recently mailed to all owners on record or their respective mortgage institutions for those with impound accounts.

Property owners who pay their real property taxes directly and have not yet received their property tax bills should inquire at the Real Property Tax Collection office at the Lihue Civic Center or call 241-4272.

Failure to pay real property taxes by the due date result in a 10 percent penalty, as well as 12 percent interest per year.
