Council meeting Wednesday
The Kauai County Council is scheduled to meet 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Historic County Building.
Included on the agenda for consideration:
• A resolution authorizing the mayor or the director of finance of the county of Kauai to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the state for a loan of $3.5 million for improvement to the Lihue Wastewater Treatment Plant;
• A resolution establishing two crosswalks and repealing an existing crosswalk on Kekaha Road in the vicinity of Kekaha Elementary School;
• Settlement of four claims from April 1 to June 30 against the county, including one claim for $360,000 that was settled for $5,000.
