Happy Camper for Monday, May 20, 2019

Congratulations to Jean Souza and all those Hanapepe-Eleele Association people who have been dogging the Hawaii Hazards Awareness and Resilience Program for several years. The effort paid off when the group was certified as the first Neighbor Island group to become a disaster resilient community during the Kauai Community Disaster Preparedness Fair at the Hanapepe Armory where The Salvation Army Capt. Bill Simon whipped up some unique chili (Kevin Richards and Luke Meyers — he played for the University of Hawaii basketball program — had a discussion on regular mayonaisse versus “hot mayo”).
