WAIMEA — The Fresh Shave, a handcrafted shave ice company based out of a vintage camper trailer on the South Shore of Kauai, announced the grand opening of their second location on island.
The Fresh Shave has joined Porky’s in their newly renovated building to bring high-quality craft food with an island twist to the Westside
The Fresh Shave now serves their fresh take on Hawaii’s most famous treat in the heart of Waimea, at the intersection of Waimea Road and Panaka Road.
“We are so excited to be a part of Porky’s vision and to bring our all natural shave ice to the Westside,” said Priscilla Soule, president.
The Fresh Shave strives to use organic ingredients and local, farm-fresh produce in all of their products. Their business model emphasizes sustainability and says “no” to single-use plastics.
“We’ve worked so hard to offer shave ice that’s free of high fructose corn syrup and artificial coloring,” Soule said.
“It feels awesome to say that we can do this while using earth-friendly cups and utensils.”
The Fresh Shave is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
I bought myself a blender. So i can make nice mocha freeze also. Or any smoothie.
I have a blender but I also like to support new, local businesses whenever possible. Next time in Waimea will be sure to visit these brave entrepreneurs. It’s really hard to start and survive a new business. Congratulations and good luck!
