Habitat offers new housing options

HANAPEPE — Kauai Habitat for Humanity is announcing a new offering for affordable housing in its ‘Ele‘ele Iluna Subdivision and possible other scattered lots.

Individuals interested in applying to the Habitat self-help homebuyer program must fall within low-income guidelines and meet other requirements, according to a press release. Mortgage funding will come from a variety of sources.

Four meetings are scheduled next month:

• Wednesday, May 1, 6 p.m., Waimea Canyon Middle School Cafeteria

• Saturday, May 4, 9 a.m., Waimea Canyon Middle School Cafeteria

• Wednesday, May 8, 6 p.m., Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School Cafeteria

• Saturday, May 11, 9 a.m., Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School Cafeteria
