Protect pedestrians, adjust light
Today, I turned left from Ahukini Road onto Kuhio Highway on the green arrow only to encounter a pedestrian in the crosswalk pointing to the crosswalk sign. I stopped and let him pass but fear this is a pedestrian death waiting to happen. The light needs to be reprogrammed.

So you are saying that you had a left turn green arrow AND the pedestrian had a WALK signal at the same time? This is hard to believe. Maybe you had a simple green light which requires yielding or the pedestrian didn’t have a walk signal. Otherwise, yes, that is a problem.
