Hiroshi Hamada
Hiroshi Hamada, 94, of Kapaa, passed away on Dec. 27, 2018, in Lihue.
Born on Oct. 14, 1924 in Waipouli, he was a construction superintendent and also served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by wife Janet Yoshimura of Kapaa, son Daniel (Susan) Hamada of Kapaa, daughters Marlene (Mark) Yamashita of Washington and Jan (Robert) Grayson of Aiea, and grandson Davin Hiroshi (Melissa) Hamada.
Private services were held.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Dennis Marugame
Dennis Marugame, 67, of Puhi, passed away at Straub Medical Center on Jan. 4, 2019.
He was born in Lihue on Aug. 22, 1951, and was a plumber with Marugame Plumbing.
He was preceded in death by father Hiromi Marugame and mother Lois Tsuyako Marugame.
He is survived by wife Teresa Brofka, daughter Heather Marugame and granddaughter Lashya Tsuyako Masuda.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 1, at Koloa Missionary Church at 6 p.m., and a paddle- out will be held on Saturday, March 2, Kalapaki Beach. For more information, call Heather, 346-5589.
Abraham Kuhaulua
Abraham Kuhaulua, 74, of Anahola, passed away on Jan. 19, 2019, at Wilcox Medical Center.
He was born on Jan. 27, 1944, in Lihue.
He was preceded in death by parents Benjamin and Mary Kuhaulua Sr., brothers Robert, Benjamin, Abner, John and Mathan Kuhaulua, and sisters Emma Kuhaulua and Lynette Lanning.
He is survived by brother Kaleihoku (Sarah) Kuhaulua of Anahola, caregiver and friend Kalani Rapozo of Anahola, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Anahola Beach Park, from 11 a.m., where services will be at 11:30 a.m.
The family suggests casual attire.

Cremer Tu
Jeanette Cremer Tu, 78, of Lihue, passed away on Jan. 26, 2019, at Wilcox Medical Center. He was born on May 9, 1940, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Aloha Church in Lihue. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. with services to be held at 11 a.m.
Annette ‘Chrissy’ Guadiz
Annette “Chrissy” Guadiz, 87, of Lihue, passed away on Jan. 24, 2019. She was born in Dunkirk, New York, on May 17, 1931, and worked as a bar manager at Tip-Top Cafe.
She was preceded in death by parents Joe and Josephina Crise and son Billy McMillen.
She is survived by husband Charles Guadiz, daughter Yvonne (Bobby) Harris, sister Geri Hively, brother Joe Crise, stepsons Cameron (Mindy) Guadiz and Christopher (Anna) Guadiz, stepdaughter Tanya (David) Friedhoff, six grandsons, one granddaughter and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Immaculate Conception Church, with visitation at 8 a.m. and services to follow at 10 a.m.
