The Zonta Club of Hanalei is accepting applications for its 2019 $1,000 higher education scholarships. They are based on academic achievement, volunteer and community service, interview, essay and financial need.
The Zonta Club of Hanalei Foundation also announced the planned awarding of the first Barbara Batley Vocational Scholarship, also of $1,000.
“Our good friend and colleague was an impassioned advocate for providing assistance to those women who are driven to better their lives through vocational education,” according to a press release.
Applications must be received by March 8.
