Randford (Randy) Lee Canales
Randford (Randy) Lee Canales passed away on Oct. 16, 2018, at the age of 56. Born in Lihue on Jan. 9, 1962, he was an auto body mechanic for Advance Auto Body in Modesto, California.
He was preceded in death by father Emilio Canales and sister Beverly Philips.
He is survived wife Marrya Bell, sons Levi (Tashiana) Canales, Rejis Canales and Andrew Canales, daughters Kyra (John) Canales and Healani Canales, stepchildren Tyler (Ashley) Hale and Krista Bell, brothers Blaine (Linda) Yaris, Salvador (Wendy) Yaris Jr. and Rodney Canales, sisters Waedeen (Eddie) Yaris and Rodreen Canales Boyd, mother Alice Canales, and four grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be on Saturday, Jan. 12, at Niumalu Beach Park pavilion at 4:30 p.m. This will be a potluck, BYOB, and please bring dish/dessert to share.
His ashes will be scattered in a private ceremony with close friends and family.
Elisa A. Bodano
Elisa A. Bodano, 78, of Puhi, passed away on Dec. 2, 2018 at Wilcox Medical Center.
Born on Nov. 10, 1940, in Camiling, Tarlac, Philippines, she was a housekeeper at Coco Palms, Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation and Garden Island Inn.
She was preceded in death by husband Alipio Bodano and brother Antonino Arellano.
She is survived by son David (Darlene) Bodano of Hanamaulu, daughters Verna (Richard Leota) Bodano of Anahola, Katherine (Craig) Reiff of New Hampshire, and Marla (Scott) McGurn of Puhi, grandchildren Jamie (Ricardo) Johnson, Brandon (Diona) Borrero, Davin Bodano, Natasha (Tom) Leota, Dannie Bodano, Kaleb McGurn, Kalea McGrun and Hailey Reiff, seven great-grandchildren, sisters Puring Macias of Philippines and Violeta Sta Ana of California, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Jan. 5, at Immaculate Conception Church from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Lihue Cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire.
Borthwick Kauai Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sharon Ann McMillin
Sharon Ann McMillin, 65, of Kilauea, was born on Molokai on Oct. 24, 1952. She passed away on Oct. 21, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
She worked for 15 years with the state Department of Education as an administrative professional at Kilauea School, Hanalei School and Kapaa Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by parents Julian and Christina Constantino.
She is survived by husband Patrick, children Garrett (Cheryl) Hiranaka, Shyla (Clifford) Uyesato, Reeve (Tiffany Tsark) Kihei and Reyne Kihei, grandchildren Kaycee Selga-Hiranaka, Harlan Hiranaka, Abigail Uyesato, Hannah Uyesato, Sophia Kihei, Julyssa Kihei, Rylee McMillin, Lexee Works and Johnnie “JJ” Works, siblings Leona (Tom) Blankley, Roy (Lisa Donnan) Constantino, Julie (Pierre) Pavao, Marie (Jeff) Berry and Jodie (Rick Oshita) Carlsen.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Jan. 12, at St. Sylvester Church in Kilauea, withh visitation at 8:30 a.m. with Mass celebrated at 10 a.m.
