The opening night will showcase the 2018 film by Director Na‘alehu Anthony, “Moananuiakea: One Ocean, One People, One Canoe.” It celebrates the Worldwide Voyage of Hokulea. Meet Anthony and enjoy a Hawaiian dinner for $40, and watch the movie at 6:30.
It continues Friday with “Eating Up Easter” at 6:15, and “For Love’s Sake” at 8.
Saturday shows include “First Love” at 1:45, “United Skates” at 4, “Wachigai-Ya Itosato” at 6 and “Fengshui” at 8:15.
Sunday shows are “Voices Behind Barbed Wire” at 1, “Mirai” at 3:15, “This and Nothing Else: Redbull Wa‘a” and “Surfing to Cope” at 5:15, with a finale of “Hanalei Bay” 7.
Ticket prices are $100 for HIFF Kauai Pass and opening night; $75 for HIFF three-day pass; and $10 general admission.
