HONOLULU — Kapaa High School’s girls air riflery team placed 13th overall, eighth among nine girls teams, at the 2018 Civilian Marksmanship Program Air Riflery Championships on Tuesday at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall in Honolulu.
The Kapaa girls team got a total score of 1,994-36. Team members are: Analani Bacon (503-9; 179-4 prone, 160-3 standing, 164-2 kneeling), Haley Gokan (505-10; 188-8, 151-1, 166-1), Alicia Hayakawa (497-9; 183-4, 153-2, 161-3) and Kiara Dolino (489-8; 185-6, 132-1, 172-1).
Kauai High School individual shooter Kierstyn Bukoski was the top shooter from Kauai with a score of 507-8 (183-4, 161-2, 163-2) and was 49th among 60 girls. Gokan was right behind her in 50th place.
Bacon was 53rd, Hayakawa was 55th and Dolino was 58th.
Among the boys, Kauai High’s William Andres was the top shooter from the Kauai Interscholastic Federation. He was 12th of 60 boys with a score of 534-11 (184-3, 168-3, 182-5).
Kauai’s Jacob Alvarez was 18th among boys with 528-6 (187-4, 163-1, 178-1). Kapaa’s Michael John Anderson was 26th with 521-18 (186-9, 150-1, 185-8). Kapaa’s Michael Rosa was 32nd with 517-16 (196-11, 145-2, 176-3).
Kauai’s Brandon Marcos was 38th with 514-11 (191-8, 153-0, 170-3). Kauai’s Michael Patricio was 43rd with 508-7 (178-1, 148-1, 182-5).
Mid-Pacific Institute’s boys team of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu was the top overall team with a total of 2,144-55. Mid-Pacific’s girls team was the top girls group and the second-best overall team with a score of 2,118-45.
Kamehameha Schools-Hawaii’s Devez Aniol was the top individual shooter with a score of 561-23 (192-11, 178-3, 191-9). Kalaheo High School’s Madissyn Marr was the best girl shooter and was the fifth overall best individual with a score of 547-20 (197-12, 168-0, 183-8).
