Paul Parongao
Paul Parongao, 86 years old of Eleele, Kauai, passed away on Sept. 14, 2018, at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home. Born on June 27, 1932, in Eleele, Kauai, he was a retired welder/security guard, also served in the US Army.
He is preceded in death by his father, Vicente Parungao; mother, Romana Navarro Manilog; brothers, Aladiano “Al” Parongao, Tom Parongao; sisters, Helen Parongao Neves, Josephine “Pena” Parongao Perez.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita “Nita” Batis Parongao; sons, Vincent (Joanne) Parongao of Waimea, Vaughn (Iris) Parongao of Eleele, Vernon (Josie) Parongao of Kalaheo, Lance (Emmylou) Parongao of Eleele, Kyle (Christie) Parongao of Eleele; daughter, Lianne (Kiha) Parongao of Hilo; grandchildren, Jordan Parongao, Jaron Parongao, Cole Parongao, Chase Parongao, Braxton Parongao, Qyla Parongao, Quincee Parongao, Macey Parongao, Kaeo Parongao, Ky Parongao, Kylen Parongao, Gavin Miyazaki; great-grandchild, Zavyn Niau; stepmother, Gloria Parungao; brother, John Parongao of Kalaheo; sisters, Trinidad Parongao Peralta of Kekaha, Amy Lyn Parungao of Oahu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo from 8:30 to 10 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. There will be a burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire suggested.

Juanita Carmen Callejo
Juanita Carmen Callejo, 84, of Eleele, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, on Sept. 7, 2018. She was born in Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii, on June 26, 1934, and was a dedicated homemaker.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Elsie Jean Callejo; parents, Manuel and Tomasa Esdicul; siblings, Benita Cezar, Leocadio Esdicul, Bertha Kihei, Vicky Moribe and Julian Esdicul.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Benjamin Frank Callejo Sr.; daughters, Patricia (Walter) Shaffer, Traci Callejo Planas, Robbyn (Manuel) Silva, Jennifer Callejo; sons, Michael (Clarice) Callejo, Benjamin Frank Callejo Jr., Alan Callejo, Manuel (Imelda) Callejo; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Fely (Francis) Oniate; brothers, Marcellino (Ruthie) Esdicul, Lucas Esdicul; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at Sacred Hearts Church in Eleele, with viewing from 8:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Mary Basug Abara, 91 years old, of Koloa, Kauai, passed away on Sept. 12, 2018, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. She was born on Sept. 9, 1927, in New Mill, Kauai, she was a retired housekeeper with Waiohai/produce clerk with Sueoka’s
She is preceded in death by her husband, Augustine M. Abara; son, Rudolpho “Rudy” Abara; daughter, Evelyn Branco; granddaughter, Caryn Abara; sister, Florentina Basug.
She is survived by her sons, Orlando (Carol) Abara of Omao, William (Rocchelle) Abara of Koloa; son in law, Allan Branco of Kapaa; daughters, Leonida (James) Cuaresma of Wailua, Evangeline (Robert) Cuaresma of Kapaa; daughter in law, Juanita Abara of Lihue; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Cely Reyes of Ewa Beach; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa from 9 to 10:45 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. there will be a burial to follow at St. Raphael’s Church cemetery in Koloa. Casual attire suggested.

Joshua Orion Bradbury, 30 years old, of Kekaha, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 28, 2018, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on May 18, 1988, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, Joshua was a painter.
He is survived by his parents, Roby and Malia Bradbury of Kekaha; sister, Jazzelyn Tiare Bradbury of Calif.; paternal grandparents, CJ (Alexa) Bradbury of Calif., Joan Bradbury of Kekaha; maternal grandparents, Walter Joseph (Deena) Fernandez, III of Calif., Lei (Verl) Stanford of Calif.; niece, Serenity Kealii Hill; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
A celebration of life will be on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at Omao Ranch Lands on Koloa Road at 5 p.m.
