HONOLULU — A leader in the social services community, Chiemi Terasawa Davis has joined Liliuokalani Trust as senior director of social services. Davis relocates from the Pacific Northwest where she worked for Casey Family Programs for 23 years.
“The mission and values of Liliuokalani Trust reflect the deep commitment to ensuring that children are thriving in their families and communities, and I am excited and blessed to be part of this organization,” she said.
Liliuokalani Trust was established by Hawaii’s last ruling monarch, Queen Liliuokalani. Her deed of trust, executed in 1909, directs that the queen’s lands be utilized to serve and provide for orphan and destitute children in perpetuity. Core trust assets include some 6,400 acres of land, the majority in Kona.
Children of a place refers to the people. Children in means people underg 18.
The way the trust is managed is disgustingly bureaucratic.
The only use for it in Kona is the opposite of the Queens and Hawaii lan values.
Why are non of the stores on the queens land sustainable?
Lease out to companies dedicated to sustainability not westernization….
