Ludevico ‘Jackie’ Pigao
Ludevico “Jackie” Pigao, 81 years old of Eleele, Kauai, passed away on Feb. 12, 2018, at his home in Eleele. Born on Jan. 13, 1937, in Hanapepe, Kauai, he was a retired Lieutenant ARFF Fire fighter and retired from the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his soul mate, JoAnne Salazar; grandmothjer, Jiji Inosuke Tsuji,; grandfather Baba Sina Tsuji; father, Jose Pigao Sr.; mother, Alice Matsue Pigao; sister-in-law, Joanne Parages Pigao; brother-in-law, MacArthur DelaCruz.
He is survived by his sons, Rick (Melissa) Salazar of WA, Raymond (Lahea) Salazar of Koloa; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jose (Rosie) Pigao of Eleele, Donald Pigao of Kekaha, Ronnie Pigao of CA; sisters, Rosita (Jerry) Sakamoto of Waimea, Linda DelaCruz of Kekaha, Gail (Wayne “Buddie”) Ayudan of Kekaha, Jennie Fe (Rommel) Manansala of Honolulu; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Kauai Veterans Cemetery maintenance shed from 9 to 9:45 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m.

Leandro Ramos Agcaoili, of Lihue, passed away at home on March 25, 2018, at the age of 84. He was born in Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on January 30, 1934, and was the proprietor of Agcaoili & Son Partners.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Catalina Agcaoili.
Leandro is survived by his son, Donie (Faye) Agcaoili; daughter, Rimuelda (Demmy) Agpaoa; 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018, at Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Lihue Ward with viewing from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Winona Puanani Kua, 87 years old of Kekaha, Kauai, passed away on March 10, 2018, in Waimea, Kauai. She was born on Aug. 14, 1930.
She is preceded in death by husband, Melvin H Kua Sr.

Loreta Garcia Mones, of Puhi, passed away in Garden Isle Health Care on March 12, 2018, at the age of 85. She was born in San Carlos, Pangasinan, Philippines on Feb. 12, 1933, and retired from Snow White Laundry.
Loreta is survived by her husband, Benjamin Mones Sr., of Puhi; children, Myrna (Ernesto) Balmonte of California, Jimmy Mones, Benjamin (Elena) Mones Jr., Leo (Daisy) Mones, Melandro (Alegria) Mones, all of Kauai; 13 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

Joseph “Juny” Yadao, 74, of Kilauea, Kauai, passed away on March 11, 2018, at Straub Hospital. He was born on July 7, 1943, in Honolulu.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Timoteo and Eutropia Yadao, Maria Cabacungan, Jose Villegas; brothers, Bernard Yadao, Jose Yadao, Raymondo Yadao, Walter Villegas, Larry Villegas; sisters, Esmenia “Essie” Belmonte and Christina “Katy” Constantino.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Villanueva) Yadao of Kilauea; daughter, Lauralee Yadao (Daniel La`a) of Kilauea; son, Jacob Yadao of Kilauea; grandson, Dawson Fo; stepmother, Helen Villegas of Oahu; brothers, Patrick Villegas of Oahu, Doug Villegas of Oahu, Joey Villegas of Texas; sisters, Josephine Asuncion of Kilauea, Francis (Modesto) Bilog of California, Mary Lee of Texas, Lora Villegas of Oahu, Patricia Villegas of Georgia, Casey Villegas of Oahu, Betty Johnson of Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, hanai children and grandchildren and friends.

Juanita Amoroso Agu, 83 years old, of Kaneohe, Oahu, passed away on March 3, 2018, at Aloha Nursing & Rehab. She was born in Koloa, Kauai, on May 15, 1934, and was retired from PMRF as a Gas Station Attendant.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tiburcio Agu; parents, Vincente and Marcela Amoroso; bother, Frank Amorozo; brother-in-laws, Eduardo Malapit and Larry Phillips.

Bennett Naholoholo, Sr., 85 years old, of Waimea, Kauai, passed away on March 19, 2018, at Kauai Care Center. Born on June 27, 1932, in Wainea, Hawaii, he was a retired mechanic.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara K. Naholoholo; parents, Joseph K. (Julia E Kamai) Naholoholo, Sr.

Wendy Wylie Winegar
The world is a bit dimmer today. Bright light, Wendy Wylie Winegar, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, March 9, 2018, in Palm Springs, California.
Born in Los Angeles, Wendy graduated from Westlake School for Girls, UC Irvine and the Masters of Professional Writing Program at USC. She had a successful career in corporate communications before becoming a full-time Christian Science Practitioner.
She lived for ten years at Hale Manu Gardens in Kalihiwai Ridge. She was a member of the Kauai Branch of the American Association of University Women. She was a great gardener, artist and generous friend who lived in many countries with her beloved husband.
She is survived by her husband, of 27 years, Richard; daughter, Laurie; step-son, Andrew; brother, Tom and sister, Pam.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family would like you to approach each day with joy, each person with love and kindness, and each challenge with a sense of excitement and adventure, just like Wendy would.
Paula E. Pope
Paula E. Pope, of Waimea, passed away at Bellevue, Wa. on March 20, 2018, at the age of 73. She was born in New York, on June 17, 1945.
Paula is survived by her husband, Leonard Pope; children, Joseph Hernandez, Marty Melo, Antonio Pope, Maile Carroll; sister, Estellita Rainwater August.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 6, at Saltpond Beach Park large Pavilion from 2 to 6 p.m.

Leon Padilla Nacapuy, 81 years old of Waimea, Kauai, passed away on March 24, 2018, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital. Born on July 2, 1936, in Lanao Bongio, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired Drip Irrigator for Kekaha Sugar Company.
He is preceded in death by father, Pantaleon Nacapuy; mother, Generosa Nacapuy; brother, Angel Nacapuy; daughter, Leoriza Nacapuy.
