Casting call Saturday

LIHUE — Anyone interested in being an extra in one of Hollywood’s upcoming action/adventure movies being filmed on Kauai can audition to be part of the cast or crew on Saturday.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Elixir/Crocus Productions is holding a free, open casting call for all types of men and women, ages 17 to 90, at the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort near Hanamaulu.

Children 6-14 years old will be interviewed between 1 and 3:30 p.m. Children should not wear makeup or formal wear.

People who can portray fishermen, dock workers, restaurant workers, shop owners, craftsmen, basket weavers, international travelers and villagers are also wanted. No experience is necessary. Those auditioning should bring friends, family, pens and books or some other quiet activity.

    Politics. Or do you guys just love Kauai? I meant Hollywood. Now is your time to shine on Hollywood. If you think you got the looks, “athletics, as in your stupid mayor,” go with it. And good luck.
