LIHUE — Rob Silverman is going green for St. Patrick’s Day.
At least, he’s trying to raise some green for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life on St. Patrick’s Day.
“It’s a full day of green fun,” Silverman said.
Rob’s Good Times Grill in the Rice Shopping Center opens today with a corned beef and cabbage special from 11 a.m. until it’s gone. Activities benefiting Relay For Life start at noon and continue through 4 p.m.
Justin Kanoho, a Kauai firefighter, takes the seat at noon for dunking. Other community “celebrities” include Jason Apilado, the new Kauai High School football coach; Jonah Nishi; Ku‘ulei Santos of Unlimited Construction; Kauai Council Chair Mel Rapozo; Jason Caldeira, Waimea High School football coach; and Luke Evslin, Kauai County Council candidate.
Lunch continues with keiki activities.
The evening is welcomed by live entertainment.
