The Kailua High School band under the direction of Casey Kitano will be offering a free performance Sunday starting at 12:30 p.m. at Kukui Grove Center.
The Kailua High School band under the direction of Casey Kitano will be offering a free performance Sunday starting at 12:30 p.m. at Kukui Grove Center.
Darryl Miyasato, band director, said the 33 students from the Kailua Surfriders will be joined by 39 students from the Red Raider band program.
“Each of the bands will play individually,” Miyasato said. “Following those performances, the bands will combine for a few pieces.”
The Kailua Surfriders’ trip to Kauai is being coordinated with the help of the Kailua High School Band Booster president Janis Lawton (maiden name, Sarmiento).
