LIHUE — Hip hop, ballet and lyrical dance is taking the stage on Saturday at the Kauai Dance Center’s Nawiliwili studio for the Kauai Dance Center’s 20th annual Recital Showcase.
LIHUE — Hip hop, ballet and lyrical dance is taking the stage on Saturday at the Kauai Dance Center’s Nawiliwili studio for the Kauai Dance Center’s 20th annual Recital Showcase.
Students ages 3-9 will kick things off with the keiki showcase at 10:30 a.m. The Youth Dance Concert will follow at 1 p.m. with students ages 10-18 years old.
Each showcase features students demonstrating their classical ballet class; as well, hip hop and lyrical students perform new choreography. They are designed to be intimate, giving the audience an opportunity to see the progression and levels of dance training.
Admission per show is $10 at the door, $8 in advance. Tickets for children ages 17 and younger are $5 and admission is free for children under 2.
Kauai Dance Center’s studio is at 3285 Waapa Rd in Lihue. Proceeds benefit KDC performance and scholarship fund.
