Motorcyclist in critical condition following crash

HANAPEPE — A Koloa man is in critical condition at Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu following an accident Friday night. 

According to police, the single-vehicle crash on Alii Road in Hanapepe occurred about 9:45.

The 25-year-old man was heading west on a motorcycle when he apparently failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and collided with a cement wall, police said.

He sustained serious injuries and was medevaced to Oahu. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

    Maybe Hawaii needs to reconsider helmet law?
