Women in Theatre present ‘The Plight Before Christmas’

WIT opens in new space

LIHUE — Women In Theatre is opening its new home — appropriately named WIT’s End — just in time for a Christmas performance.

Beginning this week, WIT will present “The Plight Before Christmas.” The old-fashioned Western drama, adapted by Fred Cusick and Diane Moore, is based on characters from Charles Dickens’ “Christmas Carol.”

The interior of the theater, which is in Kukui Grove Center next to Kauai Bakery, will be set up as a Western saloon.

Performance dates are Dec. 1, 2, 3, 8 and 9 at 7 p.m., with 4 p.m. matinees on Dec. 2 and 10.

The $25 admission includes two beverages, popcorn and pretzels.

Tickets: brownpapertickets.com and www.womenintheatre.org, or 635-3727.
