LIHUE — The Small Business Administration announced that First Hawaiian Bank has been awarded both the SBA Lender of the Year — Category 1 and the SBA HEDCO 504 Lender of the Year awards. This is the first time a local bank has received both awards outright in a single year.
LIHUE — The Small Business Administration announced that First Hawaiian Bank has been awarded both the SBA Lender of the Year — Category 1 and the SBA HEDCO 504 Lender of the Year awards. This is the first time a local bank has received both awards outright in a single year.

First Hawaiian Bank was the top small business lender receiving the 2017 SBA Lender of the Year – Category 1 award for approving 52, SBA 7 (a) loans throughout the latest fiscal year ended Sept. 30.
The bank was also recognized as the 2017 SBA HEDCO 504 Lender of the Year for approving the most HEDCO 504 loans of any local bank for fixed-asset capital expenditures including equipment and real estate. Thirteen out of a total of 38 HEDCO 504 Loans came from First Hawaiian Bank.
