Last season: 33-6, most wins in school history.
Coach: Dana Altman.
Who’s gone: F Jordan Bell, G Tyler Dorsey, F Dillon Brooks, F Chris Boucher, G Dylan Ennis.
Who’s back: G Payton Pritchard, the lone starter from the Ducks team that went to the Final Four last season. He averaged 7.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game last season. Sophomore Keith Smith and senior Roman Sorkin played limited roles on last season’s team.
Who’s new: Graduate transfers Elijah Brown, a guard who averaged 18.9 points last season at New Mexico, and forward MiKyle McIntosh, who averaged 12.5 points and 5.6 rebounds last year at Illinois State. There’s also forward Paul White, who transferred from Georgetown and redshirted last year. Freshmen include forwards Troy Brown Jr., Kenny Wooten and Abu Kigab, and guard Victor Baily Jr.
The Skinny: Altman is tasked with getting a group of (mostly) newcomers to come together. Pritchard will look to lead the Ducks after last season’s run to the Final Four, but look for McIntosh and Elijah Brown to provide veteran steadiness. Troy Brown is a five-star recruit who can play at multiple positions. The Ducks were picked to finish fourth in the Pac-12 in the preseason media poll.
