LIHUE — Kauai community members have a chance to share thoughts on the future of electric utility ownership during a meeting set for Oct. 12 at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School in Lihue.
The Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT) is currently doing a study on the future of utility ownership models on each island in Hawaii, and as part of the study London Economics International and Meister Consultants Group will be holding a community meeting for residents throughout the state.
On Kauai, the meeting will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School, 4431 Nuhou St.
