LIHUE — The County of Kauai’s Health and Wellness Fair is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall in recognition of National Recovery Month and Women’s Health Month.
“The fair not only gives people access to dozens of organizations aimed at helping them to improve their lives, but it also offers programs that are designed to motivate employees or clients to lead healthier lifestyles and can help to reduce healthcare costs,” said Theresa Koki, Life’s Choices Kauai coordinator.
Information about financial planning, domestic violence and suicide prevention, alcohol and drug prevention and emergency prevention and preparedness will be available.
There will also be free blood pressure screenings, CPR demonstrations, and flu shots.
The fair is sponsored by Life’s Choices Kauai with the Office of the Mayor and the Kauai Committee on the Status of Women.
