HONOLULU — The Hawaii Medical Service Association has named Karey Kapoi as the Neighbor Island regional director, to expand its service to communities on Hawaii Island, Kauai, Maui, Lanai, and Molokai.
One of Kapoi’s primary responsibilities is expanding HMSA’s community partnerships on the Neighbor Islands and supporting HMSA teams in Hilo, Kailua-Kona, Kahului and Lihue.
“HMSA provides affordable access to the best doctors and hospitals. That’s earned the company the respect of communities throughout the state,” Kapoi said. “My job is to build on that foundation and help make new connections in the community that will benefit our members, employers, and providers.”
Kapoi is a former assistant administrator and chief communications officer of the Maui region of Hawaii Health Systems Corporation. She grew up on Maui and lives there with her family.
