Carol Peacock and Sharon Peck were down to their final copies of “The Rehab Chicken,” a saga of Pecky who had a nasty habit. The children’s book authors were out at a special appearance Wednesday at The Kauai Culinary Market where Chef Candida “Dida” Kim (she has a fancy Caliy accent) was showing shoppers how easy it is to make poke bowls (and yes, you can get the fresh fish at The Dolphin, too).
Chef Dida makes sushi for The Dolphin, and on Saturday, will be ready to feed you at Arigato, Mrs. Raboto (gotta go find out who this is) during the 2nd Saturday at (Lawai) Warehouse 3540 from 6 to 9 p.m. (she said they have this really good ukulele player/singer).
But the second Saturday is Art Walk at Kukuiula (shoppers got a preview with Patrice Pendarvis, she even had a painting which was used in a Hawaii Five-O episode, painting outside The Palms Gallery, Wednesday) and Bruna Stude (make sure you visit with Brolie, too) from galerie 103 will be having Art Talk with Sharon Britt, Roberta Griffith, Tom Lieber, and Wayne Zebzda starting at 7 p.m.
Mahalo to Sol Kahn for the meatloaf Sugarloaf, and Helen Lacono ran out of soup, early so she could get to the airport.
