KILAUEA — Anaina Hou Community Park will present “Surf’s Up” on Friday, the sixth film in their 2017 Free First Friday Film Series.
This family friendly movie is about a teenage penguin whose love of surfing forces him to leave home to try and win the biggest surfing competition in the penguin surfing world.
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and beach chairs, lounge on the Mini Golf lawn, and arrive by 6 p.m. to save their spot on the lawn. Refreshments, Papalani Gelato, and dinner are available through the Café. The film will begin at dusk.
Anaina Hou Community Park will also present its first Keiki Fest to raise funds to build the Discovery Island Playground.
It is scheduled 4 to 8 p.m. Aug. 5. The day will include bounce houses, cultural games, Kauai’s only inflatable zipline, food and entertainment.
