The volcano sliding board at Kamalani Playground is damaged. When will this be repaired?
Repairs are expected to be complete by the end of this month.

When will the county dispose of the rusty goals/pipes that are unusable?
We will work with staff to remove any materials that are not needed.
Olohena Road
There have been many instances of tree branches falling on vehicles, causing damages and claims filed against the county. What is the status of requiring private landowners to trim the albizia trees? If a bill is required, when will this be transmitted to the County Council for its consideration?
There are no immediate plans to create an ordinance to enforce tree trimming on private property.
Moa Road, Kapaa
At the bottom of the hill coming from St. Catherine Church, there is a house on the right-hand side of the road with no guardrail and no posted speed limit near it. Please advise if there are plans for a guardrail and increase signage in this area.
The county does not have plans to install a guardrail along Moa Road; however, it will be improving speed limit signage to adequately reflect the School Zone speed limit for this area.
Intersection of Hanamaulu Road and Hoohana Street
Are there plans for improved Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access, including a ramp for the crosswalk?
The county is looking to incorporate ADA improvements to this area as part of the Safe Routes to School project for King Kaumuali‘i Elementary School, which is currently in the design phase. However, there are currently two accessible crosswalks on either side of this crosswalk, located at the entrance of the school and at the intersection of the Hanamaulu Road and Kuhio Highway.
