Happy Camper for Sunday, June 11, 2017

Anna Baudouin (she was doing duty Thursday at the Verizon Kauai Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours function, too) had a long day Friday after having to report to the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort early for the Leadership Kauai graduation. Then, it was off to Washington, D.C. with Mark Perriello and Carol Manera Texeira for the Hawaii on the Hill event. That means the chamber office is closed this week.

Kudos to Jen Chahanovich and the Wilcox Medical ohana (their big Summer Fest is coming up Saturday at the Kauai Marriott!) on a great Girls’ Night Out to celebrate women’s health! Bev Brody (she’s already worrying about the Mayor-a-thon coming up in two weeks) had her first try on the blender bike (are the legs still hurting?) with dietitian Nicole Sievers and Robin Lotu did wonders with the cauliflower wings.

Congratulations to Nia Klutke (grandma Sandi Kato-Klutke was at the Kauai Chamber Business After Hours with Joyce Vidinha and the First Hawaiian Bank crew) and Mark Isoshima on getting hired by Alan Wong! But as they prepare to leave for Honolulu, kudos to Chef Kristin Yanagawa, who will be in the kitchen at Verde restaurant (Jessica Else is thrilled with the news), getting ready to open at Hokulei Village in Puhi — soon!
