Foundation accepting grant apps
LIHUE — Grant applications are being accepted for the Hawaii Life Charitable Fund of the Hawaii Community Foundation. The Hawaii Life Charitable Fund makes grants to programs that work to preserve Hawaii’s beauty and culture by supporting its people.
Grants for the 2017 Hawaii Life Charitable Fund are in the amounts $1,000 each and awarded semi-annually. Application deadline is June 30 and submissions will be reviewed by the HLCF Board and selected at the next monthly HLCF Board meeting.
Each year a theme is chosen by Hawaii Life Agents and grants are awarded to organizations whose charitable purposes fall within that theme. For the 2017 calendar year, the them of “A Hale For All was selected — thus all 2017 grants of $1,000 shall be awarded only to those organizations that support housing initiatives and reducing homelessness in Hawaii.
