May Day By The Bay is today

HANALEI — Wai‘oli Beach Park (Pine Trees) plays host to a celebration of Hawaiian culture today as part of ‘Ahahui Kiwila Hawai‘i O Mo‘ikeha’s May Day By The Bay.

With a theme of “Keeping the Culture Alive,” it will showcase traditional music with Kainani Kahaunaele, Kalani Pe‘a and the trio Keauhou, dancing with Halauna Punua O Kauai.

A silent auction, food, crafts and community displays will also be at the beach park.

Cost is $5 per person, children under 5 years old are admitted free.

May Day By The Bay is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
