Cheryll De Silva and Brendon McDermott will be out on the streets peddling the special Keiki Day edition of TGI on Thursday. Cheryll is with the Parents and Children Together (PACT) organization and was on hand during the Countdown to Charity Walk (it’s coming up Saturday!) with the other nonprofit organizations which benefit from the Visitor Industry Charity Walk.
Ann Reid still uses her American Orchid Society judging credentials because she gets to travel to Maui and the other islands to help judge at orchid shows (when is the Big Island orchid show?). Ann and Fely Sams are busy with Mother’s Day this entire week at Orchid Alley (good thing First Saturday was last week), and Fely said she’ll be open on Sunday to help out those who were too busy.
Noel Mock is busy at the Kauai Community College bookstore buying back books (the bookstore even has an incentive program going) and distributing graduation wear for Friday’s commencement exercises. Marynel Valenzuela of Inkspot Printing (mahalo for the Gaylord’s — the restaurant was hosting a baby shower! — coffee!) said she’s going to be late for the Fashion Weekend Kauai meeting because Inkspot is sponsoring two scholarships.
