Happy Camper for Friday, April 14, 2017

Cade Mecham’s dad said he loves all kinds of balls as the Mini Mecham had fun with a volleyball between sets Tuesday night. He was having so much fun, he cried after having to relinquish the ball when the next set started.

Mahalo to Susan of the Friends of the Lihue Public Library for that pleasant surprise Tuesday afternoon. Mahalo, too, to Mokihana Aquatics coach Orlando “O” Anaya for the bodiki rice plate to go following it’s most recent time trials.

It’s time for Easter as Ed Kawamura said he’ll be with his petting zoo Sunday at the Kauai Marriott Resort (don’t forget Charity Walk Bowling, Saturday!) after he does the MS Sunset Stroll Saturday.

Eddie Iloreta said Chef Rafael Camarillo is working on his Easter special and there will be the Easter Bunny at Koloa Landing (they’re hosting the SBA Awards, Tuesday with the Kauai Chamber of Commerce) ahead of the Easter egg hunt.

And after all that, Maile Lewis said the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort will be hosting its pancake breakfast to benefit the Charity Walk on April 22 with either dine-in, or take out (that drive-through system works!) options.
