Menehune boys seeded No. 3 in D2 soccer tourney

Waimea High School’s varsity boys soccer team is seeded No. 3 in The Queen’s Medical Center Boys Soccer Championships — Division II state tournament.

The Kauai Interscholastic Federation champion Menehune boys will face Kamehameha Schools-Hawaii of the Big Island Interscholastic Federation in the opening round at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex on Oahu.

Seedings and schedules were released by the Hawaii High School Athletic Association late Friday.

No. 1 Hawaii Preparatory Academy of the Big Island Interscholastic Federation will face either Makua Lani of the BIIF or Waianae of the Oahu Interscholastic Association in the opening round Thursday.

No. Saint Louis School of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu will face OIA’s Farrington, and No. 4 seed Kailua of the OIA will take on Seabury Hall of the Maui Interscholastic League.
