Erick Manguchei
Erick Manguchei, 48, passed away on Jan. 7, 2017, peacefully in his home. He was born on Aug. 3, 1968, in Lihue, Kauai. He was a mechanical operations supervisor with Kauai Coffee Company.
He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Manguchei, Jr.; and grandparents, Manuel Soto Manguchei, Julia Boreliz Manguchei, Ismael Lagutan Garcia and Angela Salud Garcia.
Erick is survived by his wife, Leona “Kea” Manguchei; daughters, Kaelyn Manguchei (Cody Wallace), Sofia-Marie Manguchie and six hanai daughters; mother, Mary Manguchei; brothers, Alan Eugenio and Orlando Manguchei; best friend, Darren “Bullay” (Lani) Agoot; the Agoot Ohana; and numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at Kapaa Missionary Church with visitation from 9 a.m., and services beginning at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life will follow immediately at Nawiliwili/Kalapaki Beach Park.
Aloha or casual attire requested.

Marilyn Cuaresma Labrador
Marilyn Cuaresma Labrador of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on Dec. 28, 2016, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 59.
Born on July 11, 1957, in Lihue, Kauai, she was a secretary for the State of Hawaii Intake Services in Lihue.
She is receded in death by parents, Antonio and Margarita Cuaresma.
She is survived by husband, Adrian Labrador Kapaa, Kauai; sons, Tarey (Ashley) Labrador, Kailua, Oahu,Tyler Labrador, Kapaa, Kauai; brothers, James (Leonida) Cuaresma, Wailua Houselots, Kauai, Robert (Evangeline) Cuaresma, Keapana, Kauai; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at Saint Raphael’s Catholic Church in Koloa. Visitation at 8 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m.

Alfred ‘Big Boy’ Kupo Jr.
Alfred “Big Boy” Kupo Jr. passed away at the age of 68 on Jan. 23, 2017, at his home. Born on Sept. 15, 1948, in Honolulu, he was a heavy equipment operator for the State of Hawaii Airports Division.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Kupo Sr. and Margaret Kupo; brother, Leonard Kupo; and sister, Geraldine Pasion.
“Big Boy” is survived by his wife, Pauline Kupo of Kekaha; son, Alika (Amanda) Grady of Koloa; daughters, Kelly (Greg) Perreira of Kalaheo, Faith Kalamau of Oahu; grandchildren, Brigg Perreira , Gianni Perreira, Gheymee Perreira, Rhyder Perreira, Levi Grady, Caleb Grady and Lilinoe Grady; brothers, Harvey Frost of Nevada, Jimmy Frost of Oahu, Hawaii, Will (Nadine) Frost of Oahu, Hawaii, and John Kupo of Nevada; sister, Elee Lonoea of Oahu; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kekaha Ward. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. with a celebration of his life to begin at 4 p.m. Dinner and fellowship will be followed at the church.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers are welcome.

Eileen P. Wright
Eileen P Wright was born on Aug. 11, 1943, to Bernardo and Caroline Kawaiola Auoholani Jimenez. She was raised by her grandparents, Pedro and Amelia Jimenez. Eileen was a 1961 graduate of Kauai High School, where she was very popular and had many friends. She was a cheerleader and was queen of the winter carnival.
Eileen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado, in 1965. She was the Colorado State President of her sorority, Epsilon Sigma Alpha. She taught art and physical education for many years at Cortez Junior HIgh School in Cortez, Colorado. Eileen married Ron Wright, deceased in 1976, who was the wrestling coach at Cortez High School,
Eileen and Steve Kressig met in 1978 in Cortez and within a few months were living in a committed and long-term relationship. Eileen and Steve lived on Kauai for 27 years from September 1986 to December 2013 and relocated to Pahrump, Nevada. Eileen was a supervisor at Border’s for many years and her cafe was number one in the country.
In September 2015, Eileen was diagnosed with a terminal illness. She received total loving care at her home and passed away on Jan. 16, 2017.
Eileen is survived by Steve Kressig; sisters, Bernie Leek and Karen Simeona; brothers, Bernard and Dominic Jimenez; God daughter, Denice Domogsac; and God son, James Jimenez; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members.
A private service was held at the family home in Pahrump. A memorial service in Colorado and on Kauai will be held at a later date.
