Man struck on Kuhio Highway sustains non-life threatening injuries
LIHUE — At approximately 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to an incident involving a struck pedestrian on Kuhio Highway in Lihue.
According to a preliminary investigation, a minivan was turning left from Poinciana Street onto Kuhio Highway, when the van struck a pedestrian who was crossing the highway in a marked crosswalk.
The 73-year-old male pedestrian sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Wilcox Hospital.
The driver of the minivan, a 58-year-old Lihue woman, was uninjured.
Police is continuing their investigation of this incident.
