Happy Camper for Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016

William Aki of the Kapaa High School girls basketball team said they will be doing imu service for Thanksgiving.

The girls basketball team was doing food-booth duty during the televised First Hawaiian Bank Hawaii High School Division II football championships. Jazmin Kaleiohi said people can bring their prepared turkey, ham or whatever they want in the imu on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the baseball parking lot. Pick up for the finished product is Thursday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. at the parking lot.

Kudos to Bev Brody (Miss Canada does it again!) on another successful Workforce Wellness Challenge, and congratulations to all the winners. Barbara Gusman of the Courtyard by Marriott at Coconut Beach said they’re doing Saturday-night prime rib with three different sizes (who’s going to have room after the Thanksgiving buffet dinner?).

Congratulations to Mayor Bernard and Regina Carvalho on their son Brennan’s selection as a Portland State University Hall of Fame selection. Mary Daubert (she was leading the county’s Workforce Wellness Challenge team) said the mayor was in Portland Friday to pin Brennan when the announcement was made. Brennan gets formally inducted in 2017.
