Thomas ‘Ondo’ R. Refamonte
Thomas “Ondo” R. Refamonte of Hanamaulu, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on Oct. 27, 2016, at the age of 74.
Born on March 28, 1942 in Lihue, Kauai, he was a retired landscaper and welder.
Preceded in death by: father, Tomas Refamonte; mother, Leonicia Cuyo; and wife, Josephine Refamonte.
Survived by: daughters: Terrece Refamonte, Tonia Refamonte, Taneil (Levi) Hirokane; sons, Todd (Addie) Refamonte, Tomme Joe (Melissa) Refamonte, Troy (Keani) Refamonte; sisters: Doris Refamonte, Janet (Ming) Largusa, Pearl (Raymond) Awana; brother, Ronald (Koren) Refamonte; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19th, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lihue.
Visitation will be at 8 a.m. and Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.

Lisa Kathryn Gearhart of Hawaii passed at the age of 32 on Nov. 5, 2016, in Lihue. Born on Nov. 8, 1983, in Fort Worth, Texas, she was a medical assistant.
She is survived by her parents, Dale and Jere` Gearhart; brother, Christopher (Kimberly) Gearhart of Stephenville, Texas; sister, Laura Gearhart of Honolulu, Hawaii; and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Margaret ‘Peggy’ Anne Buddingh
Margaret “Peggy” Anne Buddingh of Lihue passed away at home on Nov. 7, 2016, at the age of 76. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Jan. 3, 1940, and retired as a legal secretary.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jan G. Buddingh; and brothers Martin “Marty” Garrity, Dennis “Denny” Garrity and James “Jimmy” Garrity.
She is survived by her son, William “Butch” (Alana) Buddingh of Lihue; brothers: Thomas “Tommy” Garrity, John “Terry” Garrity, and Robert “Bobby” Garrity; and sister, Eileen (Joe) Conoscenti, all of the Chicago area; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home in Palatine, Illinois from 3 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Holy Family Catholic Church, with viewing from 9 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery and Mausoleum at 700 N. River Rd., Des Plaines, Ill.
A memorial service will be held on Kauai on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Church, with visitation from 9 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m.
