Jowell Enrique and Dr. Mike Woltmon had the ono for saimin and could find it even if it was past lunch hour at the Bamboo Grill and Sushi (it was a good thing Ritchie Ogata had errands to run) at the Anchor Cove Shopping Center.
Kudos to Mufi Hannamann and his Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association staff on hosting a great Membership Meeting on Kauai (Jowell said the “expo” they had Friday at the Sheraton Kauai Resort was pretty good).
Kudos to Dave Rolf (he was busy picking up the Chocolate Opihi from Port Allen) and his Hawaii Auto Dealers Association crew (digital check-in) on hosting the 57th annual HADA Convention at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa.
And congratulations to Douglas Peneyra of the snack shop (you gotta try that lemon, ginger and mint drink) for spearheading the White Cane Safety Day walk on Thursday. Mahalo, Mel Rapozo, for taking time to participate and Kelvin Moniz is realizing it’s not over because past district governors still have a lot of Lions Club functions to attend. Mahalo to Leona Perez for taking care of the Kauai High School girls volleyball food and fund drive, and where was Stephanie Shinno?
