Happy Camper for October 3, 2016

John McClure of Moloaa Bay Coffee said he couldn’t believe there was a line of people waiting to drop change into Olivia Gegen’s jar after she rendered “Over the Rainbow” on her electric violin to a recorded IZ (Israel Kamakawiaole) version at the Kauai Community Market.

Liz Hahn was following the Betta show in California because she’s getting ready to travel to South America to check out a temple.

The rains that came Saturday morning must have chased Larry Rivera away early because he wasn’t around when Charlie Perreira showed up to do his fishnet demonstration at the Coconut Festival. They have a thing for who can be at more places than the other, and Kenny Ishii said Larry was going to show up to do his “Coconuts” song.

Mary Lardizabal had her Kapaa Middle School Ukulele Band and Chorus performing on both days of the festival (who was Dirk Soma interviewing who said we had First Saturday that night?).

Candace Boxer said Greg Askew was doing First Saturday so she had to miss the Kauai Community Market because she had to do the Coconut Festival (how many coconut Ono Pops?), and did Elena Camat make her sales projection with the new Coffee Coconut Chinese pretzels?
