Happy Camper for August 19, 2016

Happy first anniversary to Mark Perriello of the Kauai Chamber of Commerce who partnered with the Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas for its Business After Hours (did anyone take advantage of the Jason Sessions Special?).

Marc Bennor (he and Beau Acoba had a blast talking about Eugene, Oregon) had to keep his voice down when announcing the special for Chamber guests, but went full volume in saying the Westin Princeville will be offering pho at the American Cancer Society Northshore Relay for Life, tonight!

Thomas Daubert of anaina hou is offering “Shrek,” a free movie from around 7 p.m. at the home of Kauai Mini Golf in Kilauea (yes, they have dinner and refreshments at the cafe, too).

Denise Wardlow said tickets are available for the 7th annual Jazz & Wine Festival, Sept. 17 with silent auction benefiting the Kauai Lifeguard Association (last year, KLA got $29,000!), and you get to enjoy more Jason Sessions specials.

Dr. Kani Blackwell said the Growing Our Own Teachers program has kept teacher shortages to a good number on Kauai. She was excited about the approval of Alaka‘i O Kauai Public School and lost little time introducing Robert Sherrill, the governing board chair elect!
