LIHUE — Kauai High School athletic boosters are accepting donations for golf balls which are a fundraiser for the Red Raider football team uniforms.
The golf balls which were donated by volunteers and community organizations will be dropped at a special 1,000-ball drop on July 31 at the North Vidinha fields in an effort that is being coordinated with the county’s Department of Parks and Recreation.
Golf balls which drop closest to the pins win, the top prize being $500 in cash.
Donations for golf balls are being accepted by Brooke Planas at 651-8167.
