NTBG to host native plant sale

KALAHEO — National Tropical Botanical Garden will host a Native Plant Sale for garden members and the general public today.

The plant sale will be held at the NTBG South Shore Visitors Center, 4425 Lawai Road across the street from Spouting Horn.

The sale opens at 9 a.m. for NTBG members and volunteers and at noon for the general public.

Plants available for sale include an assortment of native shrubs, trees, and groundcovers, as well as a selection of non-native flowering and tropical fruit trees, herbs, and orchids. The star of the sale will be the selection of native Hawaiian hibiscus including Hibiscus brackenridgei.
