KEKAHA — The seventh annual Pedal to the Meadow bicycle hill race is Saturday.
It starts on the west side of the island and climbs along the Waimea Canyon rim up to the Kanaloahuluhulu Meadow in Kokee State Park.
About 100 cyclists will be on the Kokee Road from Kekaha to the meadow from 7:45 to 11 a.m.
Kokee Road (Kekaha side, up to intersection) will be closed 7:30 to 9:15 a.m., so drivers are encouraged to use Waimea Canyon Drive.
Late registration is available from 3-5 p.m. today at Kauai Cycle during packet pick-up. There is no race-day registration.
On Sunday, bicycles will be on the highway from MacArthur Beach Park in Kekaha out to Mana and back for the 10.8 mile-Mana Time Trial, from 8 to 11 a.m. Lanes will be open to traffic.
Cycle on the Strip is 1:45 p.m. Sunday at Kauai Race Park in Kekaha. Warmups begin at noon.
