Happy 22nd anniversary to Wala‘au which will celebrate its event with the Tuesday showing! Dickie Chang and Bruce Smalling were ahead of the event, taping a segment with Paul Pomroy in front of the Kauai Museum plumeria tree (anyone know who brought that tree?).
They were outside the county’s Agency on Elderly Affairs open house (kudos to Kealoha Takahashi and her entire crew on a great job!) to celebrate May being Older Americans Month. Teresa Caires had almost her entire ohana participating, and it was nice to see Rep. Jimmy Tokioka in person after the long legislative session. Is Marian Ogata (how can the candy with Japanese caligraphy be from Las Vegas?) supposed to be on RSVP duty?
Josie Pablo could not make the event because she was tied up with all the gift bags Mahelona Hospital received from the Malie Foundation. She said she was supposed to bring Wilma Chandler to help with a table at the open house.
Congratulations to all the graduates from the three public high schools!
