MANA — The Manu Kai ohana, representing 600 employees at the Pacific Missile Range Facility, presented the Kauai Independent Food Bank with nearly 250 pounds of food and $1,500 in cash Thursday.
One of Manu Kai’s annual traditions is sponsoring a KIFB food drive, said Julie Broyles of Manu Kai.
“We know that for our Kauai island to thrive, all of its residents must thrive,” she said. “Manu Kai supports creating stronger families, stronger communities, and a better place for all of us.”
The contributions launched the food bank’s Spring Healthy Food and Fund Drive, which will continue through April 30. The goal is $45,000 and 45,000 pounds of food.
Contributions can be made at the KIFB Nawiliwili facility at 3285 Waapa Road, any of the Kauai fire stations, or by calling 246-3809.
