Kapaa High School lost to Mililani, 8-0, Thursday during the opening day of the Waimea High School Softball Invitational Tournament at the Waimea Canyon Park. Mililani took this game behind Aubree Kim’s pitching. Pool play continues through Friday with the championship game scheduled to start at 3 p.m., Saturday. Tournament participants include Kapaa, Waimea, Kauai high schools as well as Mililani, Kamehameha B team, PAC 5, Mid-Pacific Institute, Farrington, and Kalani high schools.
