Free movie night Friday

KILAUEA — Anaina Hou Community Park’s free movie night series starts Friday on the lawn of Kauai Mini Golf.

“We are delighted to be presenting a full season of free movies for our community this year,” said Thomas Daubert, executive director of Anaina Hou Community Park. “Our first film will be ‘Ferngully,’ a family favorite with a very important message about preserving the land we love and depend upon.”

The free movie night will continue through October on the last Friday of each month.

People are encouraged to bring a good blanket or beach chair and arrive early. Refreshments and dinner will be available for purchase from the Anaina Hou Cafe. The film will start at dusk, or about 6:30 p.m.
