Attention to all foodies in Hawaii! Local chef Grant Sato, Kauai Community College culinary arts instructor, was named the international champion of Global Taste of Korea among 15 other regional finalist in a competition that took place Aug. 20 to 28. The program aired on KBS, a national network during Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) this past September. Chef Sato won a local regional contest in Hawaii and was invited to the main competition in Korea in August. Global Taste of Korea was a South Korean government sponsored event to promote Korean culture through cuisine.
KBFD is happy to air this special program for Thanksgiving, Thursday at 6:50 p.m. with English subtitles in high definition thanks to the sponsorship by Armstrong Produce, a company that believes in supporting local farmers. Watch as Chef Sato work his bulgogi magic which was the semifinals theme food and move on to the top five chef finals. Finalists had to prepare an eight-course royal palace dinner. Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Moo Hyool accepts Boon-yi’s offer and goes with her to Hamju. Bang-won also heads to Hamju and makes a plot to meet Jung Do-jeon. Yi Sung-gye’s men mistake Boon-yi for a spy and Boon-yi’s life is in danger. Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Jung Do-jeon shows up just in time and says he’s the man who sent everyone to Hamju. He tells Yi Sung-gye to get rid of the three villains in the government and build a new country. Jung Do-jeon invites Hong In-bang to join hands with him.

Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Woo-jae finds an important piece of evidence in identifying the culprit behind the graffiti on the church wall. So-yoon finds a woman who seems to be her sister on a TV program with the “ghost baby’s mom” and goes to see the producer of the show. Gi-hyun finds out someone intentionally lured So-yoon to Achiara. Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: The townspeople of Achiara shuns So-yoon when they find out she’s Kim Hye-jin’s sister. Woo-jae and Officer Han put their plan into action to put pressure on Chairman Seo’s formal chauffeur.

But Yoon-geum is more worried about her husband who’ll be left alone than her own impending death. Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Shin-jae and his daughter come to terms after Yoon-geum’s death. Shin-jae sets out to do the list of things Yoon-geum wanted him to do.
