Congratulations to Kapaa football coach Philip Rapozo and all of his staff and players on a great KIF football season! Kapaa football fans got a treat when Keoki Rapozo, a Kapaa High School alumnus, led the alma mater following the school’s final KIF game at Vidinha Stadium.
Marissa Purcel (good luck with the cross country team on Maui!) and John Altomare joined Daniel Hamada and Greg Gonsalves in accepting a check for more than $39,000 in Adidas uniforms and equipment from Times Supermarket and Big Save representing proceeds from this year’s Shop and Score program.
Sandi Kato-Klutke ditched the Kauai Community Market as soon as she sold out Saturday. Everyone thought she went to the Chocolate and Coffee event, but instead she was home carving pumpkins and making saimin. John and Daphne McClure held down the fort at the Saturday market while Amber got help from Nia Klutke (the Amber look-alike) and Naalehu Anthony (he just got back from the Hokulea leg) at the Hanapepe event where Ada Koene said Helen Lacono was doing a chocolate demonstration.
